[Dshield] Extreme increase in spam attempts... any one else seeing similar event?

As a response to this message I received a "bounce" message.  It said:
Action: Failed
Status: 5.0.0

WRONG, it never gave a 500 response it received the message and later decided
it could not delivered message and sent me a phony error message.
