Okay, I'll bite.
First, I live in Delaware. Yes, there is more then 50 miles in Delaware.
Second, I work 1) remotely, and 2) I travel to my customer's sites.

This isn't an attack on SANS. This is merely to foster a discussion,
that I am sure (read: know) has been had within SANS, and withing the
advisory committee. However, I didn't see a public conversation going
on with the SANS community, so I started one.
However, if you must know, I live 94.2 miles away from my corporate
headquarters, and 26.4 miles (one way for each) from my place of work.
So I drive at least 50 miles a day. That's not so much the point. It's
just the drastic change in policy.
Yes I understand there are alternative options. I just feel that
everyone has a chance to voice their opinion, and this is a good place
to do it.
