Thank you for your correction to my earlier message, I have gone
under a misconception of S/360 architecture for many years and so I
appreciate your response - I had always attributed MVS VM services to
the S/370 and thought that S/370 was the first to do such things in
the IBM mainframe family as one of its key differentiations to the
S/360. Clearly I got that wrong.
One has to love the remarkable level of experience of those who
participate on this list.
You know BAL! I am impressed (not that my being impressed should
mean anything to anyone, but rather think about how really neat is is
to have such people as you and others with such levels of computing
history and knowledge right here on this list - that is what I
continue to find so very impressive).
