[Dshield] Email log submissions

Hello All!

I have been having a similar issue as described below. It started 6 months
ago with returned submissions and now I only get maybe 1 in 4 logs received.
It gets better for a while, then happens again. I tried the idea below and
it worked fine. Since some of the logs get through, there has to be another
issue.

Thanks!

John

Thanks for the reply,

I do not have any special e-mail server configured. I
am using the built-in SMTP client from my DI-624
router.
Configured as described here:
http://isc.sans.org/email_clients.html#dlink

So I'm using my ISP's SMTP server mail.mchsi.com

I did the telnet test and I was able to telnet in to
mail.dshield.org

I have access to a mail server running qmail and I am
able to recieve the message with no problems.

Any ideas?

I will continue looking

Thanks
