[unisog] cornell.edu blog being used for spam - and now virginia.edu as well

To be clear, it wasn't virginia.edu or anyone who has recently posted on
this listserv.

I agree, no need to incur the school's wrath.

The institutions represented by the people on this listserv are the ones
that most likely have little to no issues with responsiveness.

And it's worth contacting again -if you think things aren't being handled.
I'm one of the folks copied on mail to abuse email at Virginia and I don't
recall seeing it. (But responding to that mail isn't my job.) Believe me,
we don't want it to continue, and it may be a report we're already dealing
with because there were several duplicates from different people yesterday.

But no, going public with names typically only serves to get the very folks
who most want to solve the problem and prevent it from occurring again mad
at you. :)

Only if you have evidence that the problem has not been resolved. ;)

Most abuse organisations for ISP will not get back to you even if they
do fix the problems.
