A similar notice was posted by the University of Cincinatti to the educause security mailing list a few days ago (1/28/2008 10:20am EST, to be exact). We responded by sending out a global warning to all of our users and have gotten good responses. As far as we are aware, no such emails have been seen to users at adelphi.edu (yet), and I hope we keep it that way. The best defense against this kind of attack is a continuing awareness program. Having said that; we all know that users are a notorious weak link, and this kind of attacks will continue to be successful.
