[unisog] Replace or Purchase Nessus?

I figure the change in licensing model is to get folks (like me) who 
wouldn't mind paying for it -- but don't because it's free, to pony up. 
That said, we'll probably go with their paid feed .. for three reasons :

1) there's nothing that I'm aware of that does as much for the price 
(unlimited IPs, DIY plugins, etc).

2) Renauld put out a great product .. and for the last several years 
basically made it freeware. While I hate the direct commercialization of 
open-source projects (Snort managed to have it both ways, for example) I 
can't really fault the guy, and $1200 is a drop in the bucket relatively 
speaking .. especially when we're used it successfully for several years.

3) We have written a number of customizations (result sets into SQL, for 
example) and wouldn't want to re-do all that. Heck, you can't even wrap 
your own around many commercial solutions because they want to sell you 
other "components".
