I wanted to bring your attention to the fact that in 4 weeks, Virginia Tech 
will be hosting the 2008 VA SCAN Conference at The Inn at Virginia Tech. The 
conference begins on Monday, October 6, and will be over after lunch on 
Tuesday, October 7.  We invite you to take a look at the program 
(http://www.cpe.vt.edu/vascan2008/index.html) and consider registering for a 
very reasonable $125.  We know this is going to be a year where budgets might 
be tight so this is an excellent opportunity to attend a very informative 
meeting and to meet with colleagues involved in technology security.
