That gets you another problem: noise. If you can stuff your FW inthe
basement, that's fine. But if you are in a flat, then a computer
running 7/24 makes quite a bit of noise (and power drain too).

The "blackboxes" firewall, at least, have no moving part (flash memory
for persistant storage, small processor = no HD, no fan) makes zero
noise.
