That's correct - The way I found the program was that the Symantec firewall
asked me if I wanted to permit internet access! I wonder why that
happened...

You are apparently running Symantec Internet Security or Firewall Product on
the computer. The IDSColu.exe is a LiveUpdate program from Symantec.

Hopefully this link will come thru to you ok. If not go to
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/support_options.html and do a search for
IDSColu.exe. There are 7 articles that explain this. Deb -----Original

Has anyone heard of a program that attempts to access the internet called
"IDSColU.EXE?" It's located in "C:\WINDOWS\prefetch" subdirectory. The
full name is idscolu.exe-eo2F4BFF.pf.
