Downloaded PGP 8.02 freeware. Install it no problem, run it no
problem. Go to sign an E-mail - Window pops-up saying you need an
upgraded license. I remember when PGP was completely free and people
were afraid to use it because it really pissed the FBI and NSA off.

If it's called Freeware, then its free. If your going to only make the
install file free, but to actually use it you need to pay - That is
CrippleWare a.k.a scumware.

I guess PGP goes on my "sellout of the week" list.

Astalavista PGP, hello WinPT.

There is a reason we have free software, because free software is
usually more useful and better coded. When a good, useful, free
program goes pay it normally ends up being buggy, useless, and
expensive. I can name quite a few.
