the Linksys router family, which implements Network Address Translation 
(NAT)/Port Address Translation (PAT) has a configurable capability to 
perform mapping of incoming  TCP connection requests (SYNS) as well as 
UDP packets  from the WAN side(IP/Port) to LAN side (IP/PORT).  Unless 
D-Link and/or Netgear support a similarly configurable mapping 
capability then you are probably not going to see those incoming packets 
on your LAN at all if the router is also configured as a NAT/PAT router.
