I will lead a "Mentor Course" for Intrusion Detection
in Cambridge MA. If you are interested, see:

http://www.sans.org/local/description.php?tid=15
(Note: it will start on April 24th, not 17th!)

Unlike a regular SANS course, local mentor sessions
are less formal "study group" style meetings. The group
meets once a week, and the details of the material covered
each session will depends a lot on feedback from the group.
I hope there will be plenty of time to just experiment
and explore various aspects of the material in a more
hands on manner.

These mentor sessions are in particular interesting if you
(a) try to make contact with local peers (b) intend to take the
GIAC certification (c) don't want to spent the money traveling
to a conference (d) don't have the time to take off for a full
week.

The venue is located very close to the green line Lechmere station.

(Note: The SANS Insititute is sponsoring DShield and the Internet Storm
Center. So the $$ you spend on SANS training will help support DShield
;-) )
