There are automated scripts and other malware/worms that automatically
scan for these issues. PHP includes, XML-RPC and awstats scans are way
up there in volume. So, if you see a lot of them, you fit right in with
the rest of us :)


It is said that the Internet is a public utility. As such, it is best
compared to a sewer. A big, fat pipe with a bunch of crap sloshing
against your ports.
