I am looking for one (or a small group) person who would be willing to
work with me on a Firefox toolbar to allow for faster reporting of
malicious content to DShield and to warn users of the toolbar of
malicious websites.

Essentially I am trying to move the concept of DShield to the client,
something we need very much. The toolbar would interact with a yet to be
defined open API for DShield, and you could for example query DShield
for 'hostile neighborhoods' to alert you as you browse if a system is
located in such an area.

Please reply off list if you are interested to discuss details (and let
me know if you wrote any Firefox toolbars before).

MSIE toolbar writers are welcome too. Just Firefox toolbars appear to be
quite easy and essentially "open source by default". The toolbar should
be cross-platform (OS X, Linux and Windows), which limits the client
part to Javascript if I understood things right (still learning about
toolbars, which is why I need help ;-) ).

Any replies please off list to jullrich at sans.org. If you happen to look
for a GIAC Gold certification: This would make a super project.
