Applied Watch for the Snort IDS is Now Available for Free Download

Anybody seen this?  It looks like the poor man's Sourcefire.

If anybody had experience with a beta version, please let me know.
Hypothetically, if I happened to be building a new NIDS around Snort 2.0,
would I want to use this in the design?
