At least on the Mac side, the Virtual PC emulator and other similar products
run a fully emulated Intel-based computer.  So yes, all updates should be
applied to the Windows environments running on those emulators.

Indeed, our only real security incident that involved a Mac OS X machine was
due to the Windows environment on that machine getting compromised.
