Just another note to tell you about the 3 day SANS seminar hosted at VA Tech
in Blacksburg, VA on 3/3-5/03. The full day classes are pulled directly from
the SANS GIAC certification tracks (usually $500/person/day) and are:

1. Monday, 3/3: Securing Unix/Linux (Hal Pomeranz) OR Securing W2K (David Rice)
2. Tuesday/Wed, 3/4-5: Network Traffic Analysis using TCPDUMP (Judy Novak)

Day 1 is taken from the GIAC Unix Security or Window Security tracks. Day 2
and 3 are from the GIAC Intrusion Detection track. Note that if you take these
classes, you only have to take the other days in a particular track should you
decide to attend the SANS conferences to get a GIAC certification.

The cost is $100/person for the 3 days and any faculty/staff from any EDU is
eligible. No commercial, private or govt staff are eligible. EDU only.

Full registration, course info, hotel info is at http://conted.vt.edu/isect.

If you have any questions, let me know.
