The University of California, Irvine, is looking for a talented and
outgoing individual to lead our network security organization.

If you know somebody who might be interested, please refer them to
our online job posting:

     http://www.nacs.uci.edu/jobs/ManagerNetworkSecurity.html

Here's a summary of the position:

Under the general direction of the Director, NACS Infrastructure
Services, provide campus leadership on network security related
issues, and manage the NACS Network Security group. Act as a
facilitator on security related issues to individuals and departments
throughout the campus. Participate in the development of campus
and/or UC-wide policies related to IT security. Meet frequently with
key users, both to help them better understand security principles
and practices, and to help NACS better understand their particular
needs. Promote NACS services as appropriate, but also help members of
the UCI community understand their own role in creating a secure
environment. Hire, train, and supervise professional staff. Promote a
collegial and healthy work environment supporting the professional
and personal development of the network security staff, and
emphasizing cooperation with campus IT users and other NACS teams and
individuals.

Thanks!

Scott

PS Tomorrow's weather forecast for Irvine: 67 degrees, partly cloudy. ;-)
