Spanning is not an issue...of course, it would take a few days for clients
to renew their IP, but once that happens, will there be some kind of
database/text file/SOAP interface that I can query for the last fingerprint

Sorry about that - I thought that name looked familiar :)
You'll need to have a presence on the network you want to fingerprint,
but you wouldn't need a SPAN due to the semi-broadcast nature of DHCP.
